The Collierville High School Diamond Dragons are sizzling to begin the 2022 Spring. On Thursday, the team improved to 4-0 after a mercy run rule victory over Germantown, 16-0, and an extra inning thrilling victory versus Pope John Paul II, 3-2.
Freshman Ari Bethea made his debut on the mound for the Dragons against Germantown and shut down the Red Devils. Fellow Freshman JD Whitworth led the offensive attack with 2 hits and 3 RBI's.
Senior Grant Ross was the hero in game 2 delivering a walk-off hit in the 8th inning to seal the win for the Dragons.
Collierville Baseball (4-0) will face state perennial power, Rossview, at Patriot Bank Park on Friday. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30pm.
