The state's third-ranked Collierville baseball team had another opening day pitching dual classic against Briarcrest Christian. This year it was East Tennessee State commit Thomas Crabtree getting the ball for the Dragons and University of Tennessee commit Matthew Dallas taking the mound for the Saints. Crabtree was stellar and earned the win in a hard fought 2-1 victory for the Dragons. The 6'3 right-hander delivered 6 1/3 innings and struck out a career high 12 Saints hitters. Scotty Wyatt earned his first career save.

Collierville (1-0) will look to build on the early season momentum when they host the Germantown Red Devils, Tuesday, at Patriot Bank Park. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30pm.
