The Collierville High School women's basketball team had a big second half Friday night to defeat Memphis Central, 58-45, in the opening round of the Region 8 AAAA Tournament. With the win, the Lady Dragons improve to 21-8 and have the most wins in a season for the program in 20+ years. The most wins in program history is 28 from the 1988-89 State Tournament team.

Freshman Hilary Shikuku had 13 points to lead the Lady Dragons.

Up next for Collierville will be a familiar foe - Arlington. The Lady Dragons and Lady Tigers are scheduled to tip-off Monday, 6pm, at Memphis Central.
