Collierville High School was well represented at the Williamson County Expo Center on day one of the TSSAA Boys and Girls Wrestling State Championships. Both of the Dragons Wrestling teams qualified five individuals to compete for medals and a state title in their respective weight class. After day one, three Dragons are advancing with that goal still in sight.

For the boys, senior standout Cameron Cook (46-4) defeated Oakland and Northwest to advance to Friday's semifinals.

Advancing for the Lady Dragons will be Betsy Nations and Stephenie Odeigah. Nations defeated Riverdale and Science Hill. Odeigah defeated Cleveland and Gibbs.

First round of consolations begin at 10am Friday. Championship Semifinals are scheduled to start at noon.
