The goal of every season is to be playing your best come post-season tournament time. That goal looked to be on track for the Collierville High School Men's and Women's basketball teams in the quarterfinal round of the District 15 AAAA tournament.

At Cordova, the men prevailed with a 42-39 victory after Chris Sims showed his athleticism during the final minutes and gave the Dragons the edge. Madison Taylor also played a key role in keeping Cordova star KJ Tenner in check for the majority of the night. Sims had 19 points to lead the Dragons. With the win, Collierville Men's Basketball improves to 18-7 on the season and will face Bartlett, 6pm, on Saturday at Arlington.

The Lady Dragons (19-7) will also advance after a 64-14 victory over Southwind. It was the third win against the Lady Jaguars for Collierville during the 2021-22 season. Freshman Paige Whitted had 17 points and senior Jordan Harris added 15 points. The win sets up a semifinal match-up at Arlington, against the Lady Tigers, on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:30pm.
