The Collierville Dragons figured to be a far cry from the best version of themselves after the obstacles faced during the 2021-22 season. However, led by the senior class promptly demonstrated their commitment and work ethic en rout to victories for both the men's and women's teams over Southwind Tuesday (Jan. 24) inside My Town Movers Fieldhouse.

Krystina Boyd was once again steady to lead the Lady Dragons with 13 points and the lockdown defense the Collierville girls have displayed all year continued. In the opening game, the Lady Dragons took control early and concluded with a dominating defensive effort to take a 55-20 district win over Southwind. In their last district game, the Collierville girls gave up just 9 points to Cordova. The team improved to 13-5.

Collierville mens' basketball team also picked up their 13th win of the season. Senior Phil Dotson led the Dragons with 21 points and continues to get better day in and day out. Chris Sims was solid on both sides of the court and contributed 12 points as the Dragons pulled away late for a 69-60 victory over the visiting Jaguars. Collierville men's basketball is now 13-4 on the year.

Both teams have their eyes now on win #14 and will host Arlington Friday night. The girls tip-off at 6pm and the boys are set to follow at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased via GoFan or at the gate.
