Senior center Madison Lovelace registered a double-double and the Lady Dragons basketball team had one of the best defensive performances in Collierville program history. The Lady Dragons held Cordova to single digits and came away with a 70-9 victory in the league match-up. Lovelace led Collierville with 12 points. Jordan Harris, Paige Whitted, and Caitlyn Wilson each contributed 10 points. The Lady Dragons improved their overall season record to 12-4.
In the boys' game that followed, Collierville could not stop Cordova star K.J Tenner who had 41 points. The Dragons (11-4) were led by T.J. McNeal and Phil Dotson with 14 points each. Cordova picked up the 63-48 win.
Both teams will be back in action Saturday versus South Gibson. Tip-off is scheduled for 5pm and 6:30pm inside Collierville High's My Town Movers Fieldhouse.
