The Collierville High School women's basketball team stormed past Cordova, 77-19, and the men's squad followed with a victory of their own, 67-58, to open district play with wins on Tuesday (Dec. 14) inside My Town Movers Fieldhouse.

Kristyna Boyd had 17 points to lead the Lady Dragons and Hillary Shikuku tallied 11. Jordan Harris also reached double figures with 10 points.

Alex Vandenbergh led the men with 18 points, Phil Dotson added 16 and T.J. McNeal netted 13.

Both teams improve to 6-1 and will play Saturday in the Shan Whiteside Classic at Desoto Central (Southaven, MS) versus Pontotoc (MS). The girls tip-off at 11am and the boys follow at 12:30pm.
