Led by junior forward, Alex Vandenbergh, and clutch three-pointers from senior shooting guard Mason Lewellen, the Collierville Dragons men's basketball team grabbed a 58-51 victory over Harding Academy Tuesday evening at home.
Vandenbergh made his presence known throughout the game on an off-night offensively for the Dragons. He tallied 16 points. Lewellen recorded his first double-digit performance of the season with 11-points while connecting on 3 of 6 behind the arc. Jaxon Toney paced the Lions with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Luke Campbell contributed 15.
Collierville (4-1) started out strong, but never could break the game open. They will only have one day to regroup as they host the Kirby Cougars on Thursday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30pm.
