In a year that will go down as one of the best in Collierville High School football history, the Dragons continued to make a statement of their strength with a 35-6 dominating performance over Bartlett Friday night (Oct. 22) at Dragon Stadium. No other Collierville Football team has started 9-0 in forty years. With the win, the Dragons clinch the Class 6A, Region 8 regular season title.
Senior running back Troy Martin put on another low-key display by carrying the ball six times for 71 yards and scoring three touchdowns. The Doomsday Defense once again was elite and only allowed 154 total yards. Gyasi Wallace had a 26-yard interception that he returned for a touchdown to highlight the defensive effort.
The Dragons have a chance to run the table and improve to 10-0, next Friday, when they travel to Arlington.
