The Collierville High School football continued their winning ways with a 28-10 victory over the visiting Houston Mustangs on Thursday night at Dragon Stadium. The Dragons led just 7-3 at halftime after a little sloppiness. Houston got on the board first with a 41 yard field goal and the Dragons posted their lone points with a defensive scoop and score from Donovan Mathena.

Adjustments were made in the second half and the Dragons showed their abilities. Troy Martin would return from an ankle sprain for two rushing touchdowns and back-up running back Andy Bell would also find the end zone.

Houston Wilhelm completed 12 of 24 passes for 120 yards. Tyler Collier had five receptions for 83 yards. Martin carried the ball seventeen times for 63 yards.

Collierville (8-0) will enjoy a few days off with the upcoming bye week. Bartlett will make the trip to Collierville for an October 22nd battle. With a win, the Dragons would clinch the regular season region title.
