The No. 8 ranked Collierville football team kept its undefeated season intact with a 22-0 win over No. 6 Germantown at Ken Netherland Stadium Friday night.

The Dragons (7-0, 4-0 Region 8-6A) now have seven wins for the first time since 2013.

Collierville's defensive unit has yet to allow more than seven points to an opponent during the 2021 season. Friday night's shutout was their third and most impressive.

Houston Wilhelm connected with John Hampton early in the game for a 15 yard touchdown. Tyler Collier continued to show his quickness with a direct snap score behind the team's offensive line power. Hudson Hollenbeck would split the uprights from 36 yards out and give the Dragons a 15-0 lead at halftime.

Troy Martin sealed the victory with a rushing touchdown in the third quarter.

Collierville will control their own destiny in pursuit of a Region 8 championship. The task will not be easy as they'll need to win 2 of their next 3 games against Houston (Oct. 7), Bartlett (Oct. 22), and Arlington (Oct. 29) for the title.
