Jacksonville University commit, Eli Grizzard, a 2022 grad from Collierville High School has been selected to the Commercial Appeal's All-Metro Boys' Lacrosse Team. The midfielder won 192 of 222 face-off attempts. He also scored 13 goals and had 26 assists for the Dragons.
Three Lady Dragon seniors were named to the All-Metro girls squad. Colorado Mesa signee, Zoe Powell, had 20 goals and four assists, 31 ground balls, 67 draw controls and 26 draw wins. Maryville signee, Reagan Rukstad, had 72 goals, 24 assists, caused eight turnovers and won 30 ground balls from the attack position. And, Meg Sweet, (uncommitted)had 72 goals, 24 assists, caused eight turnovers and won 30 ground balls.
Grizzard and Sweet are player of the year nominees. The player of the year will be announced June 28 at the Memphis Area High School Sports Awards.
