The Commercial Appeal's All-Metro baseball team and six nominees for Baseball Player of the Year have been announced. The player of the year will be announced June 28 at the Memphis Area High School Sports Awards. Collierville High School 2022 grad Grayson Saunier is a nominee for Player of the Year and a first team all-metro selection. The 6-3 right-hander and left-handed hitting outfielder put up impressive numbers during the 2021 season. Saunier, committed to play at Ole Miss, hit .355 with four home runs and 22 RBIs. He also was the Dragons ace on the mound compiling an earned-run average of 2.18.

Collierville shortstop, Cade Leatherwood, was named 2nd-team All Metro.
