Collierville junior Braden Sheals was once again impressive in his recent outing against St. Benedict with four and two-thirds innings of work. Despite a struggle in the first-inning, the southpaw showed composure and poise in striking out eleven and allowing no base on balls. The offense scored plenty for his backing as Collierville took a mid-week game from St. Benedict, 12-4, Tuesday evening at Patriot Bank Park.
The Dragons, who have won nine consecutive games and undefeated at the Park, are now 27-5 on the season.
Cade Leatherwood had two hits for the Diamond Dragons. Trent DeZemplen and Griffin Baird both doubled to contribute to the offensive effort.
