Making their first appearance in the TSSAA State Duals Championships since 2013, the Collierville Dragons wrestling team held an early 7-4 lead, but fell 47-22 to the Science Hill Hilltoppers Saturday (Feb. 6) at Centennial High School. Damen Pullen (126) and Gage King (132) had the early victories. Christian Flynn (152) picked up a win by decision midway through the match and the Dragons would get their lone win via pin by Wyatt Lankford (195). Ted Cooper (220) also picked up a forfeit win.
Collierville was then defeated by Bradley Central in a consolation match, 59-20, and finished their impressive run at 13-5 for the year. Seniors Christian Flynn (152) and Ted Cooper (195) finished their career with pins and senior Wyatt Lankford (182) finished with a 16-1 technical fall over the Bears.
