MaxPreps Top-Ranked Christian Brothers upended the No. 12 ranked Collierville men's basketball team, 73-50, on Tuesday (Dec. 22) in a highly anticipated matchup between two of the area's top teams in the final game of the pre-Christmas Collierville Challenge. The Dragons (7-1)drop their first contest of the season, while the Purple Wave(10-0) remain unbeaten.
Davon Barnes, the Memphis area's fourth-leading scorer at 20 points per game, was held in check to just nine points for the Dragons. Madion Taylor had 11 points and T.J. McNeal contributed 9 points. Chandler Jackson led Christian Brothers' offensive attack with 18 points.
Collierville will play at FACS, 11:30 am, on Wednesday in hopes to bounce back.
