Legendary Careers End With 3rd Place Finish For Two Collierville Wrestlers

Collierville High School seniors Andrew Artiles and Jared Dawson finished their legendary careers at the TSSAA State Wrestling Championships Saturday.

Artiles will finish as the career leader for takedowns in Collierville High School history, 2nd in career wins, a 4-time state qualifier and 2-time state medalist. He took the 3rd place medal in the 120 division of the 2020 state championships by defeating Grant Fetters of Wilson Central.

Dawon also placed 3rd, in the 285 division, at this year's state tournament by defeating Gabrille Fletcher from McGavock High School. He finishes his career 4th for career pins, 9th for career wins, a 3-time state qualifier, 2-time region champ and 2-time state medalist.

Congratulations to these athletes and their coaches for another successful season on the mat.
