Collierville High School Head Football Coach, Joe Rocconi, has added Blake Bennett and Carlos Williams to an already strong coaching staff. The former elite high school football players at Memphis University School and Covington, respectively, made their coaching debut for the Dragons Friday night. Collierville defeated Southwind 29-28.

Bennett and Williams will also join the Dragons baseball staff in the spring. The duo played baseball at The University of Memphis. Bennett recently finished a professional career in the Philadelphia Phillies organization. Williams was a top MLB prospect out of High School. In football, he helped lead the Chargers to the 4A state football championship game his senior year as one the state's top running backs. The Chargers posted a 15-1 record in 2012 and captured the AA District 13 title with a 9-0 mark.

In addition to their varsity duties on the gridiron, both coaches will make a big impact working with the Dragons Freshmen Football team.
