Collierville High School senior Jack Bridge is no stranger to the Sevierville Golf Club, having competed in the TSSAA State Championships in each of his four years of high school. On Thursday, Bridge made his presence felt once again with an outstanding opening-round performance at the Class AA-Division I State Championships.

One of the top uncommitted golfers in the state, Bridge carded a one-under-par round to finish the first day tied for fifth place, just three strokes behind tournament leader Jack Eickhoff of Page High School, who sits at four-under-par.

With another day remaining, Bridge has positioned himself to make a run at the state title. Maintaining his strong play and picking up a couple of additional birdies could put the Dragon senior right in the state championship mix.

Bridge has the experience, talent, and familiarity with the course to make a serious push as the tournament continues.

Also representing Collierville High School at the State Championships is Luke Baker (T23, +4) and Ryder Andrews (T54, +10) after impressive seasons and qualification.
