Collierville High School standout Devin Corbin capped off an impressive postseason by earning State Runner-Up honors - 126 lb. weight class - at the TSSAA Individual State Wrestling Championships held this weekend in Franklin, Tennessee.
Corbin opened the tournament in dominant fashion with a 16–0 technical fall over Gallatin in his first bout. He continued his strong run with a 7–0 decision victory in his second match. A hard-fought 5–4 win over Nolensville then secured his spot in the State Finals.
In a thrilling championship bout—one named the Class AA Best Match—the junior battled to the end before falling 11–8 in a high-level, back-and-forth contest.
The Dragons also celebrated two additional podium finishes:
-Connor Underwood, Sophomore – 157 lb. weight class
-Sricharan Kosanam, Senior – 106 lb. weight class
Congratulations to Head Coach Brian Loeffler and the entire Dragons Wrestling program on another outstanding season and an impressive showing on the state’s biggest stage.
