Collierville Schools made history last weekend at the National School Spirit Championships at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida, earning a program-record six national medals across cheer and dance divisions.
Middle School Programs
The Collierville Middle School Cheerleaders turned in a historic performance, finishing 3rd in the Nation and earning the Bronze Medal in the Large Game Day division—marking the highest national placement in program history.
The West Collierville Middle School Cheerleaders also excelled, securing 8th place in the Large Game Day division.
In dance, the Collierville Dragon Dancers—a combined team of CMS and WCMS athletes—advanced to the finals in all three categories they entered. Their standout results included:
-2nd in the Nation – Gameday (Silver Medal)
-2nd in the Nation – Hip Hop (Silver Medal)
-5th in the Nation – Pom
High School Programs
At the high school level, Collierville High School Cheer and Pom made history by competing together in the inaugural Spirit Program Game Day division, earning a 3rd-place national finish and the Bronze Medal.
The Collierville High School Pom team added two more national finishes:
-3rd in the Nation – Large Varsity Game Day (Bronze Medal)
-3rd in the Nation – Large Varsity Hip-Hop (Bronze Medal)
A Historic Weekend for Collierville Schools
With a combined six national medals, the Collierville Schools Spirit Squads achieved the largest medal total in district history at the National School Spirit Championships.
