The Collierville High School women’s bowling team earned their first victory of the season with a dominant 24-3 win over Houston High School on Wednesday at Bowlero in Bartlett.
The Dragons set the tone early, winning 4 of 6 matchups in Game 1 of the American 10-pin format and claiming two bonus points with a 521-490 total pinfall advantage. In Game 2, Collierville nearly swept the board, taking 5 of 6 matchups and again earning bonus points with a 643-522 pinfall win.
Houston struggled in the Baker’s Round, allowing Collierville to complete the sweep. The Dragons finished with 1,253 total pinfalls, sealing the decisive 24-3 victory.
Collierville improves to 1-1 on the season, while Houston falls to 0-4. The two teams will meet again next Wednesday at Collierville’s home lanes, 901 Bowl.
