The Collierville High School baseball team rallied late to defeat the Arlington Tigers, 4-2, on Monday night at Patriot Bank Park.
The Diamond Dragons struck first in the bottom of the first inning when Brody Winemiller singled home AJ Greene to give Collierville an early 1-0 lead. However, a couple of defensive miscues allowed Arlington to capitalize and take a 2-1 lead.
The game stayed tight until the bottom of the sixth, when Jack Bogenreif came through with the clutch hit of the night — a two-run double that gave Collierville a 4-2 advantage.
Bradley Stubbs shut the door in the seventh, recording the final three outs to secure the win.
Winemiller and Ian Chambers both had strong nights at the plate, each going 2-for-3.
Collierville improves to 24-7 on the season and will face Arlington again Tuesday night at the Ballpark of Arlington. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
