Ted Bergquist

Coach Ted Bergquist brings an extensive and unique background to our baseball program.

Ted began his collegiate playing career at Colorado Northwestern Community College (JUCO) before transferring to Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, CO. Following his playing days, he stepped right into coaching, working with both basketball and baseball at Colorado Northwestern, while also spending summers coaching American Legion Baseball in Fort Collins, CO. He later served as a women’s basketball coach at Colorado Mesa University and then as a men’s basketball coach at Metro State University in Denver, CO.

Returning to baseball, Coach Bergquist worked nearly two decades as a college umpire at the NCAA Division II, Division I, and Minor League Baseball (MiLB) levels before moving back into coaching full-time.

In 2021, Bergquist coached at Fort Lupton High School, then moved to Fossil Ridge High School in his hometown of Fort Collins, CO. As pitching coach in 2022 and later head coach in 2023, he helped guide Fossil Ridge to the first two playoff appearances in school history.

Coach Bergquist then returned to the college ranks, serving as pitching coach at Rend Lake College (IL) during the 2024 and 2025 seasons, helping lead the Warriors to the 2025 District Championship Game.

In summer collegiate baseball, Ted has been part of two championship teams in the past three years: the 2023 Mile High Collegiate League title with the Fort Collins Force and the 2025 Coastal Plain League Petitt Cup Championship with the Wilson Tobs in Wilson, NC.

Ted and his wife, Stacy, along with their two dogs, Slugger and JJ, are excited to call Collierville home and to be a part of the community.
