Dragons Softball easily dispatched Covington High on Tuesday with an impressive 15-2 win.

Collierville opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to three doubles. Sara Depperman drove in the first runs of the night with a double in the gap. Costly errors by Covington extended the lead to 8-2 in the bottom of the third inning.

The Dragons then posted seven runs on seven hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Karrington Mitchell singled, scoring one run. Kate Hogan tripled to drive in two runs. Kinsley Scallions, Depperman, Addison Morgan, and Isabella Flanders all singled driving in one run each.

Kendall Harper earned the win for Collierville. Harper scattered seven hits and two runs over five innings of work while striking out two and only walking four. Ashlyn McCommon took the loss for Covington High.

The Lady Dragons tallied 13 hits Tuesday night. Flanders, Depperman, Morgan, Scallions, and Carli Crisp each collected multiple hits. Overall, the team showed great patience at the plate, accumulating six walks.

Your Lady Dragons are back in action Thursday as they welcome Northpoint Christian to Forklift Field. First pitch is at 5pm.
