University of Tennessee commit Ari Bethea dealt 6 and 2/3 scoreless innings to ignite an early season road win Monday evening for Collierville High Baseball over Briarcrest Christian School. Junior Cael Allen picked up the save. The shutout is the team's second of the season and Bethea has been a part of both efforts.

Collierville (3-1) manufactured the game's lone run in the top half of the second. Junior first baseman Brody Winemiller led off with a base on balls. He stole second and would later score on a 2-out single by hot-hitting junior right fielder, Ian Chambers.

Bethea was impressive. The 6'1, 197 pound right hander pounded the zone from the get go. He gave up three hits, allowed just one freebie, and struck out 12.

Sophomore designated hitter, Jack Bogenreif, was 2-for-3 at the plate for CHS.

The Diamond Dragons return home to Patriot Bank Park on Tuesday when they take on the Brighton Cardinals. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30pm.
