Making his season debut, Collierville senior Skylar Gamel was lights out Wednesday afternoon at 901 Bowl and lead the Dragons to a 15-12 victory over the Arlington Tigers. Gamel set an individual season high score in the first game of American 10-pin. He defeated Arlington's Jordan Christian 257-134. Also picking up wins for the Dragons were Merrick Shumaker, Jackson Whaley, and John Frankenberger. The Dragons earned the two point bonus with total pins.
In game 2 of American 10-pin, Gamel, Frankenberger, and Ethan Rodriquez earned wins but the Dragons fell in total pins. Headed to Baker Games, Collierville had the slight edge 9-7.
The two teams would split the Baker Rounds, but Collierville would seal the victory with the overall total pins and picking up the three point bonus.
