Collierville Cross Country Teams State Bound after Regional Men's 1st Place Finish, Women's Runner-Up Finish

The Collierville High School cross country teams have made significant strides and are running their best at the right time. On Tuesday's Regional Championships both teams put on an impressive display. The men's dominated a strong field with a score of 51 and securing the 6th, 7th, 11th, 13th, and 14th individual spots in the race. Bartlett came in 2nd place with a score of 61. Also advancing to next week's state championships from Region 8 will be Arlington. The Tigers edged Houston 73-81 to claim the final spot.

Collierville was lead by Reid Gulstrom with a sixth place finish and a time of 16:56.

The Dragons women's cross country team secured a spot in next week's state championships with a runner-up score of 50. Houston claimed the women's division title with a score of 28. Arlington will also advance from the women's side with a third place finish and score of 83.

Collierville was lead by Ava Lang with a third place individual finish with a time of 19:47.
