Prior to one of their biggest weekends of the year in preparation for October, the Collierville High women's soccer team posted a 7-3 win over White Station on Tuesday at their home field. The victory keeps the Dragons unbeaten this season, currently sitting at 5-0. Collierville women's soccer is currently a Top 100 team in the country according to MaxPreps.

Senior Alice Moffatt came up clutch shortly after White Station took an early 1-0 lead. It would then be all Maroon and White for the remainder of the first half. Junior Hilary Shikuku got back to her scoring ways with the second goal. Kaitlyn Lewis, just a sophomore, would give cushion with back-to-back goals midway through the first half. Junior Chloe Simmons joined the fun with back-to-back goals of her own and the first half ended at Collierville 6 White Station 1.

The Spartans' comeback would come up short after two goals in the second half.

Sophomore Alyssa Gresham had a head shot for the home team's only and final goal in the second half.

The weekend is set to be one fun to follow when Collierville travels to Knoxville to play in the Bearden Tournament. On Thursday night, the Dragons draw the best team in state and host Bearden at 7:30pm. Friday will feature a 6:30pm matchup against Farragut. On the team's get-away day, Collierville will play Father Ryan at 2:00pm Saturday.
