The Collierville High School Volleyball team protected their home court and won five out of five over the weekend.
In the first match of The Volley In The Ville on Friday, the Dragons defeated Dyer County 25-11, 25-17. They would follow with a second win over Jackson Academy (MS) with wins of 25-14 and 25-13.
Saturday they shined to finish pool play undefeated by hammering Arlington 28-26, 25-21.
The Dragons entered the gold bracket and got past Bartlett 25-17, 25-13. The win set up a title match versus Houston (Germantown, TN). Collierville (7-0) prevailed over the Mustangs 19-25, 28-26, 15-13 to claim the championship.
Now the focus turns to a talented Hernando (MS) team in hopes the Lady Dragons' winning streak climbs to eight. Collierville and the Tigers are set to clash Tuesday, 6pm, at Hernando.
