It was another dominant effort for the Collierville softball team, which earned a 16-0 victory in three innings behind a stellar outing from Molly Davis and an explosion from the Dragon offense at Forklift Field on Friday evening (March 25).
Davis earned the win with 3.0 scoreless innings of two-hit ball, notching 4 strikeouts.
Collierville (4-1) recorded a season high 14 hits and did all the damage in just two innings of at-bats. The Dragons scored 9 runs in the first inning and 7 in the second frame. Kate Hogan and Kendall Harper each had three hits and two runs scored to lead the offense. Delta State signee Katelyn Harmon had two hits and 4 RBI. Davis also contributed two hits for the Dragons with a pair of RBI.
Next week, the Dragons will have three road tests. Monday the team is at Houston, Tuesday at Germantown, and Thursday at Arlington.
