Playing once again versus out-of-state elite competition, the Collierville High School volleyball team had a near perfect weekend in Hoover, Alabama at the Heffstrong Tournament hosted by Spain Park High School.

The Dragons opened tournament play on Friday and defeated Fairhope 25-7, 25-14. Collierville would sweep through Day 2 pool play with victories over Tuscaloosa's Hillcrest High (25-15, 25-13) and Vestavia (26-24, 25-17). In the afternoon's bracket play, Collierville defeated Mountain Brook (25-14, 25-18), Bayside (25-17, 25-11), and Sparkman (25-20, 25-20) before falling to the host in the tournament's championship (23-25, 26-28).

Collierville (29-7) will look to earn their 30th win in the 2021 season on Monday versus St. Agnes. The varsity match is scheduled for 6:30pm inside CHS' MTM Fieldhouse.
